PLEASE WAKE UP INDIA

Why India is not a good place to live in, even after all these years???

Most of the people if given opportunity would love to settle down in abroad because, according to them, there is a far better living standard in foreign countries. No one wants to strive to make our own nation a better place to live in. We keep comparing INDIA with other countries and do all the fault finding that we can, but are we taking up any responsibility? We just love the blame game "Ki corruption bohat zada hai ji India mein, isliye India ka kuch nahin ho sakta". There are some of the things that I find totally strange:

1. Most of us are seeking government jobs, but why? We want a job where we don't want to work much, and get hefty paychecks, which is actually the hard earned money of other people, who are working day and night and paying the taxes. We want a job where we can get loads of benefits and still can leave the work pending for tomorrow, which never comes, unless we get some extra perks(RISHWAT). We keep saying the other person is corrupt, but if something is coming in our own pocket we don't deny it. ("Maine toh ji kya karna hai paison ka, bas ladki ki shaadi k liye extra jama kar raha hun")

2.People don't want to learn proper driving and most of them don't even give the driving test but still get their licence by giving a paltry sum of Rs. 1000 or so. Is the life of a person so cheap that it doesn't matter if accidents take place due to driver's poor driving skills. (Oh, I forget that if a person is walking on the road he's probably poor, paise deke mamla khatam ho jayega, haina? Hamara toh ji ladla bacha hai, 18 se pehle car de di toh kya ho gaya? Apne aap hi aa jati car chalani seekhna kya hai isme) They can't even stop on red lights because probably they will get extremely late by stopping for a minute or so. In India drinking and driving challan can be easily get rid of, by giving money. Most of the people don't even care to use indicators (for God's sake, they are not ornaments). The same set of people will follow each and every rule, while they are abroad.

3. Then comes the concept of grand Indian weddings, when families start looking for a RISHTA (as we call it), they don't see the qualities of the boy /girl instead they ask, "Kitna lagana hai ladki walon ne? Paise wala hai kya ladka? Car kaunsi denge?". We call ourselves modern but still there is domestic torture where brides are forced to ask for money from there parents. This is happening in case of high profile educated people which is totally unbelievable. Why is there so much wastage of money on the name of marriage? Even after all this the parties or the guests are not satisfied ("itni bekaar shaadi humne nahin dekhi, maine toh apni beti ki shaadi mein sabko gold coins diye the"). It's a request to the guys and girls to get rid of this price tagging and be sensible.

4. The youth gets ready for the candle matches at the drop of a hat, but have they ever introspected? A juvenile knows how to do a rape, but is young enough to not get a proper punishment. I mean, WHAT A SENSE OF JUSTICE! Sorry my friends, girl's are not basic amenities that you use and throw, it's really disgusting to hear, "Yar meri setting kara de, number dede dost hai toh?" We need to educate our kids, younger brothers and sisters so that they know what is right or wrong? (My nani teaches a group of poor students everyday so that they can be good citizens and may not get misued in life. I'm really proud of her) .

Without making it really long I just want to say that the YOUTH should change themselves to make the county a better to live. What I want is JUST A THOUGHT, on this matter by everyone in their respective minds and be the change which is the need of the hour.
