Keeping The Promises- A Book Review

You think of an MBBS student and the thing that immediately comes to your mind is an upcoming doctor, studious guy, sleazy handwriting and what not. You think that the person has the potential to be a Cardiologist, Radiologist, Neurologist etc. but if we talk about Dhruv Gajjar, he's the doctor of heart, who's nursing his own wounds through his words. The book KEEPING THE PROMISES is his own journey penned down by him as a promise to his loved one. It's not easy to narrate a tale that brings tears and shall stay a reminder throughout your life.

Talking about the book the book it is nothing but a marvel. The journey of Dhruv and M makes you laugh when they are happy, cry when they are sad and feel every single emotion that they have gone through. This is what I call creating magic with words. Usually the talented Indian authors don't get the respect and the popularity they deserve because the ones that are overrated are not that much of a talent. Dhruv has written this book to keep a promise to his dying love M(the mystery girl).

The story is about his journey of love and the last 2 weeks of  the tumor eating out the body of the one girl that meant life to him and how he spent every single moment with her on her death bed. The insurmountable pain is not hard to miss and tears flow down automatically. The book gives you hope that life has to go on and you should never break the promises that you make. It is a life changer because I've learnt we have to survive even when it seems like the dead end is approaching.

Without revealing the story line I would say I would really recommend it to youngsters because loyalty is not a common thing between couples. I wish something is learnt out of this painful tale of love the way Dhruv and M were committed. It's not just the love story but the wonderful character of M which makes it worth the read. She sacrificed her life, made plans for her loved ones and wanted everyone to give promises which ultimately were for their own betterment. I really can't end this review without the mention of Nirali who was a major support and had her mysterious connection with M. To know the details grab your copy of the book now :)

Do read this one and find the treasure of memories hidden in every single word.

I'd like to thank publishers(Write India) for sending me a copy of this masterpiece via goodreads. :)
